Chios Island
30 Minutes Before Event Time
After meeting you at your hotel at 07:30 in the morning, we start our tour towards the Chios, one of the most beautiful islands in Greece. After completing the distance between Izmir and Cesme with our private vehicle, we arrive at Cesme sea customs.
After we have our passport controls done there, we start our pleasant sea voyage of approximately 45 minutes. When we reach to island, we start our journey on the Chios, the most well-groomed and rich island of Greece, with our vehicle waiting for us. Our first stop is Chios Castle, located in the heart of the island. We are visiting the castle and the inner castle settlement, which bears the traces of the Venetian and Ottoman periods, with our guide. After the castle tour, we continue our tour towards the Mecidiye Mosque, built by the order of Sultan Abdulmecid, who visited Chios in the 19th century. Then we see panoramically some buildings and places as Vunaku Square (Platia Plastira), the meeting point of Chios, the Public Garden (Dimotikos Kipos), the Melek Pasha Fountain, one of the cutest Ottoman structures in Chios, Chios Governorate and Homerion.
After we have completed center tour, we start our South Chios Tour to see Mastihohoria (gum villages) and Notiahoria (southern villages), where the mastic trees and architectural richness are the most abundant, and to have our lunch.
On this pleasant day, we tour medieval villages such as Armolia, famous for its pottery making and its castle, Pirgi, famous for its facade decorations called “ksista”, Mesta with its streets resembling corridors and castle-like houses. After visiting the South Chios Villages, which host many natural and architectural riches of the island, we go to “Pasa Harbor” and have the chance to taste the unique flavors of Greek cuisine and fresh seafood in a beautiful restaurant.
At the end of the day, we say goodbye to Greece and Chios, take our places on our ship and start our return journey towards Cesme. After completing our customs procedures in Cesme, we start to return journey for Izmir with our private vehicle. Before dinner, we arrive at our hotels and complete a unique tour of Greece.
